Well the surgery is over! This is what Kevin's bad knee looked like before. He had the knee replaced last December, and it has bothered him since. As you can see it was as stable as it looks. The surgery was done on Wednesday at McKay Dee in Ogden this time, by Dr Colton. He wasn't sure what he would do until he got in there, whether he would fix the artificial knee that was there, or take the whole thing out, and put in a whole new one. The surgeon ended up taking it out and doing a whole new replacement. He said that the previous surgery was done very poorly. There were even stitches left in that don't dissolve. Anyway, Kevin is doing great, and we came home today. He was only in the hospital 2 nights. I wish he was there longer, so I could have had more time to spend with my adorable grandkids. I stayed one night with Diane and one night at Emilys. It was so great to have a nice places to stay, and have some time off of work. But Kevin was ready to come home, although I think he enjoyed flirting with the cute nurse, but he is walking around pretty darn good for what he's been through. I just caught him out in the garage digging around. It's only been 2 day since surgery. Maybe he's on strong pain pills or something. But he says he can really tell a difference this time. I'm glad.

Yeah, Dr. Colton ! ! ! I am so glad to hear the good news! Kevin looks great and he will only continue to get better now. I am really happy for both of you.

We are glad to hear that Kevin is on the mend - and this time the surgery worked! I can't imagine the disappointing year it must have been for Kevin.
Good guy that Tom Colton. He was in my last ward. Also a great surgeon. You need to sue the last surgeon. We need to get rid of all the bad ones so that they can't make anyone else suffer like that for a year.
