Good Bye Sweet Katie
Today was a sad day for us. Kevin had our dog Katie put to sleep. She hasn't been doing very well for a few years, and Kevin has tired everything for her. Her hips had gotten really bad and sometimes she could hardly get up or go up stairs. With winter coming it would be hard to see her go through another one. I took these pictures last night. Kevin took her to the vet while I was at work today. I had to keep myself very busy, so I wouldn't cry at work. It was hard. We really loved that dog. She was a good friend. We still have a cat and I am sure that she will be very lonely without Katie, they were very close and hung out together. I was there when Katie was born about 15 years ago, and helped deliver her. Her mother Ginger was a wonderful dog also. They were inseparable. Katie really hasn't been the same since Ginger died. I hope that they are together in heaven. We will miss Katie.

I'm sorry to hear that Kristie! I know how close you are with your pets. She was a beautiful dog. I remember Ginger, I'm sure they are together.
Sorry that Katie had to be put to sleep. We have had to do that twice and it is very sad to loose a loyal pet.
Things won't be the same without Katie dog - such a loyal friend.
Oh sad, I am in tears reading this, Im really going to miss my sweet katie dog :(
I just found out today. You guys didn't say anything on Saturday. How sad, but good for Katie. She was a good dog, but did not fel well these past few years. You guys did the right thing. I showed Lexi the pictures of Katie and told her and she dug her head into me and cried.
